Interestingly the National Telecommunications Commission has not issued a notice on it, and the blocked sites in question state that the move is in accordance with Republic Act No. 9775, or the anti-child pornography law.

The block hasn’t been applied equally though across all ISPs – some members of our team can still access these, uh, “art films” on home broadband, while the author can no longer access them via Smart LTE.
